Panasonic Connect Canada releases TOUGHBOOK 40 Mk2

July 4, 2024, Mississauga, Ont. — Panasonic Connect Canada has introduced their first artificial intelligence (AI) enabled laptop, the TOUGHBOOK 40 Mk2.

The PC, designed specifically for first responders, is the company’s first to feature Intel Core Ultra processers, delivering up to 143 per cent faster AI application performance, 73 per cent faster generative AI, and up to 40 per cent lower processer power for AI-enhanced collaboration, the company reported in a press release.

The laptop earned rugged certifications including 6’ drop, MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461H, C1D2, and IP66.

Other features include an optional Intel Arc graphics or AMD Radeon Pro W6300M dGPU, 512GB to 2TB main and secondary SSD, 16GB to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, 4G or 5G connectivity options, a 5MP infrared webcam, and 24 hours of battery life with an optional secondary battery, among others.
